What To Do After a Flood in Rock Hill South Carolina
10/9/2019 (Permalink)
If a flood has occurred in Rock Hill and you were affected, SERVPRO of Rock Hill & York County is here to help! However, we want your safety to be your first priority- we will clean up the mess once it is safe!
- Do NOT drive through even small amounts of water!
- If a road is closed- respect this and do not "try to make it"
- Do not return to your property until you hear it is safe and you have the all-clear.
- Let your loved ones know you are safe- cell phones/texting/social media
- Do not drink, bathe, brush teeth, wash clothes/dishes with contaminated water- and remember that all flood water is potentially contaminated and dangerous.
- My grandmother was right- a good rule to follow after a flood: "When in doubt, throw it out"! This applies to food that may have not been kept cool/frozen or exposed to contaminated water.
Like we said, we value your safety above all else. In our next blog, we will share how we will return your residential or commercial property and make it "Like it never even happened." To schedule water restoration service call our office at 803-324-5780. We are here for you!
